Back in Wales for Christmas

My two grandaughters Scarlett and Gwen

Before we came back to Newport for Christmas we had a checkup with Ben at Leahurst Small Animal Hospital and he's doing OK. He's still wobbly but it hasn't got any worse, he's certainly jumping about on his long lead and we can persuade him to have longer walks. Two more months of medication and he's eating well so we'll have to keep an eye on his weight.

We're staying with our daughter Clare, her hubby Ben and their collie Poppy who was delighted to see Ben the dog.  Thanks for letting us stay once again.

Today we had grandaughter Gwen for the day, and this afternoon we had grandaughter Scarlett's second birthday party so I'm certainly enjoying being a 'nanny' today. The photo shows them having a cwtch........welsh for cuddle, such a lovely word.

Another birthday yesterday too, Happy Birthday Paula .....retirement is great apart from the aches and pains nobody tells you about. Love you loads.

We have still got to face the supermarket chaos for Christmas food but this year we're going out to lunch  on Christmas Day so no cooking turkey for dishes for me. I am quite looking forward to  a Merry Christmas and I hope the food lives up to our expectations at 'The Three Horseshoes'. Paper plates too for the Boxing Day get together so less washing up again.
