We Have A Winter Mooring In Llangollen

Well the Winter Mooring Launch finally happened at half past three and I succeeded in getting a mooring at Llangollen within the designated time limit. Shorty afterwards the search engine  disappeared because of a problem, but it did come back later on. You had to print off mooring licences for display but at least this year you could choose your months and pay by card or direct debit. Last year we had to book it online, print off a form to fill  in and then send it with a cheque. I'm happy to have a winter mooring as we don't want to have to cruise in the winter, and Llangollen is one of our favourite places.

Glad you have finally got your winter mooring sorted Elsie and Eric, must be a big weight off your mind to know where you will be this winter. Hopefully next year the winter mooring system may improve under CART? Keep up the great blog. Doug and James

So we'll see you both and NB Poppy at Llangollen! Watch out for the long stoppage 7/11/2011 to 21/12/2011 Bridges 5W to 6W Near Maestermyn, which may cause you a problem.

I spotted the stoppage (after I'd paid for the mooring!)so we are speeding north to be through before the 7th Nov.Fingers crossed that there will be no emergency stoppages...
